"I am my biggest critic. I measure my success on a gig night by looking at my crowd and their reaction to my selection" - LuWayne Wonder
That’s how LuWayne describes himself.
Though by nature, LuWayne is relatively shy, put him behind decks or in front of a mic and watch him morph into what many refer to as “WonderBoy”.
Never afraid to push boundaries when it comes to sound. His controversial musical selections and skills have wowed crowds locally and abroad.
Music is definitely his first love and therapy.
LuWayne finds himself in the Middle East where he is living and working on expanding his DJ career.
He is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of the entertainment and DJ industry. “You are only as good as your last set” as he likes to put it.
Though he loves playing in nightclubs and huge crowds at prestigious events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes.
As a DJ, entrepreneur and radio host of his own radio show, Wonder Nites on Good Hope FM, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically.
LuWayne: "I am my biggest critic. I measure my success on a gig night by looking at my crowd and their reaction to my selection. It’s all about mood, reading my crowd and staying humble in everything I pursue… I never compete with others as I am always competing with myself.
"Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, I've made a few, but I learn from them and do better next time".
