Chef Demas Latief, Chef de Cuisine
Chef Demas Latief joins the luxury The St. Regis Dubai as Executive Chef at the Parisian-inspired Café Fleuri and Le Patio, the hotel’s charming courtyard bistro.

With over 10 years’ experience serving up delectable dishes in some of Dubai’s finest restaurants, most recently at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi, Chef Demas looks forward to upholding The St. Regis’ long established world-class reputation for hospitality.

Working under Emil Mikev, a former student of the esteemed chef, Pierre Koffman. In January 2010, Chef Demas entered the Anchor Masterchef Challenge, where he was crowned first place runner-up.

A year later, an opportunity arose for Chef Demas to join The Ivy, where he had the opportunity to learn from the world renowned chef, Ben Tobitt and led The Ivy’s culinary team in the 2013 edition of the Anchor Masterchef Challenge.

That same year, Time Out Magazine nominated Chef Demas for ‘Chef of The Year’.

In his most recent position, Chef Demas worked for Starwood properties as Sous Chef for Hunters Room & Grill, a high-end contemporary steakhouse, at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi.  His exemplary leadership and abounding passion for delivering high end culinary experiences, saw the restaurant win one Gold, two Silvers and two Bronze awards by the Emirates Culinary Guild.
