Description

The warmth and flavours of Mexico have arrived on the Arabian Gulf shores.

Tortuga is the new vibrant and colourful Mexican restaurant in Dubai at Mina A’Salam, Madinat Jumeirah.

Headed by the Mexican Chef Oscar Rito, guests at Tortuga are invited on a culinary journey to authentic Mexican home.

Come and enjoy Dubai’s most exhilarating fiesta, where the food will revive your soul and the Latin music of our Mariachi band and drinks will make you sway.

The Mexican restaurant Tortuga welcomes you to its home: Mi casa es su casa.

Oscar Rito - Tortuga Patron
Oscar Rito joined Tortuga in November 2014 fresh from the kitchens of his native homeland, Mexico.

Previously, Rito ran the highly-acclaimed, award-winning Taste restaurant in Puerto Vallarta before overseeing the operations of 12 specialty restaurants at Vidanta Group Mayan Resort Nuevo Vallarta, Jalisco.

Having trained at world-class restaurants including El Bulli in Spain, Vermeer Restaurant in Amsterdam, Martin Berasategui in Lazarte, San Sebastian and more, Rito brings a wealth of experience to Tortuga’s authentic cuisine.

In his role as the official patron of Tortuga, Oscar promises to welcome all diners like guests in his own home, fulfilling the philosophy “Mi casa, es su casa.”

With his constant drive to maintain the highest standards of excellence in food and culinary experience, Rito aims to establish it as the best Mexican in the Middle East.
