The Laughter Factory returns in February with three incredible international comedians: Lateef Lovejoy, Ria Lina and John Fothergill.
Lateef Lovejoy
Lateef is multi-talented actor, stand up comedian, and creator.
He is also one of the most distinctive acts on both the black, mainstream and International Comedy circuits and has been an international headliner in countries such as the US, Belgium, Nigeria, Jersey, Sweden, Norway, and South Africa.
As an actor, Lateef has a string of films, TV, radio and theatre credits both in the UK and internationally and has recently just completed writing, starring, and producing his own comedy sketch show pilot "HeSaidSheSaid".
Lateef has achieved great commercial success too, being selected as the new face of the ITV Hub and was head hunted to be the official commercial mascot for major energy brand U Switch, playing the role of 'Coach' seen across TV and all major digital platforms; the commercial has already amassed over five million views on YouTube.
Ria Lina
Ria Lina has been entertaining both UK and international audiences with her dry wit and social commentary comedy songs for over 10 years.
Her charm and intelligence allows her to get away with anything from the most audacious routines to subtle wordplay.
A versatile performer she can as easily MC as well as headline, and has been seen at clubs around the world from Glasgow to Singapore, Seattle to Australia.
Winner of Best Comedy Show at the Greater Manchester Fringe and Nominated for the Amused Moose Laughter Awards at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Ria Lina’s standup can be seen on NextUp Comedy on Amazon Prime.
Ria also stars in Ettieboo’s Cabaret Boonanza – a mixed bill cabaret show that has a residency at the renowned Aeronaut in London.
John Fothergill
John has slotted into the comedy circuit like a three pinned plug combining a unique style of embarrassing sexual revelations with a rural innocence.
He has also toured the Nations universities, toured of Ireland and performed in Hong Kong and regularly at the Edinburgh Festival.
In 1997 John performed a month long run at the Adelaide International Comedy Festival, and in 1999 he appeared on BBC 1’s The Stand Up Show, and became a regular member of the Comedy Store’s highly regarded Cutting Edge team.
