The Laughter Factory promises audiences total hilarity when it returns with three brilliant comics: Tom Wrigglesworth, Laura Lexx & Rob Deering in September 2018.
Tom Wrigglesworth
Tom Wrigglesworth is an established Stand-Up comedian, Radio and TV presenter and voice-over artist from Sheffield, England.
He is best known for his live storytelling shows and BBC Radio comedy programmes which take a comical and emotional look at family relationships.
Alongside his comedy work, he’s used his engineering background to become a natural and engaging presenter for BBC Television and The Discovery Channel.
He is also known for his uncanny resemblance to record breaking Quarter-Back Aaron Rodgers.
Tom visited Green Bay to meet his doppleganger and a short movie by NFL Films covering his trip became a viral Youtube hit.
Laura Lexx
Laura Lexx is a critically acclaimed comedian and writer, nominated for the Chortle Best Compere Award 2016, 2017 & 2018 as well as the Amused Moose Comedy Award in 2016 for her show Tyrannosaurus Lexx.
In 2017 Laura was voted Comic’s Comic Best MC by her peers and is described by critics as “one of the most delightful performers you’re ever likely to see.” (GQ)
She’s a hot favourite at festivals such as Latitude, Bestival, V Fest and Green Man, she’s an exceptional live act who delivers “real comedic steel” Guardian.
Rob Deering
Rob Deering performs stand-up comedy with music, using a guitar, a loop pedal and his voice to create impressive rock and pop soundscapes – and do jokes, of course.
Along with being one of the most in-demand headliners on the UK circuit, he’s toured nationally and performed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe many times since starting out in comedy in the year 2000.
His late-night, live-music comedy pop quiz Beat This is a festival institution, on London’s South Bank, at Wales’ Green Man and many more besides Edinburgh.
Rob has performed throughout the world, in shows from the Middle East to Melbourne, Shanghai to the South of France, and he has appeared on any number of Radio and TV shows, often using his extensive knowledge of film, popular music and… well, ‘general’; he has won Celebrity Mastermind and a comedians’ special of the Weakest Link on BBC One.
He also recently ran all over Britain for BBC 6 Music. Yes, Rob runs, presenting the podcast Running Commentary with fellow running comic Paul Tonkinson, and fundraising for his favoured charity Parkinson’s UK; he has run seven marathons.
He produces and hosts Parkinson’s UK’s annual gig Shake With Laughter at London’s Comedy Store, where he is also a regular member of the Cutting Edge topical comedy team.
