Description

The Laughter Factory returns with the U Expats are Funny Tour starring Canada’s most wanted female stand up, Allyson June Smith together with fan favourite co-headliners, Prince Abdi and Ian Coppinger in February 2018.

The trio will be kicking off the tour at Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 February; playing a show on Valentine's Day at Radisson Blu Ajman on Wednesday 14 and then back at Grand Millennium Barsha Heights on Thursday 15 February.

There will be a double header on Friday 16 with an early show at Jumeirah Golf Estates and then a welcome return of The Laughter Factory to Garhoud, with a new venue at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel from 9pm.

The Laughter Factory will return in February with a not to be missed tour starring three very distinct voices.

Canada’s most wanted female stand up Allyson June Smith is impossible not to enjoy. A show full of guaranteed nonstop laughter makes this woman an absolute delight to headline any bill.

Not only is she Jason Manford's favourite new stand up, but he took her on tour to open his shows.

In close competition, Ian Coppinger is one of Ireland's most respected comics. With never a dull moment in his set, his charm and wit have a zero fail record when it comes to keeping his audiences entertained.

Finally, Prince Abdi is building a solid reputation on the UK black comedy circuit as the hottest new thing. A comedy rising star to be watched in a small venue while you can still see him at close range. Two more years and we predict he will be playing big theatres.

This show will bring you some quirky, unique takes on expat life, that is bound to hit a few raw nerves, as well as their individual style of global humour.

Allyson June Smyth
Since 2000, Allyson June Smith has been tickling Canada’s comedy scene from the moment she put down the chalk brush and picked up a mic.

Playing to packed rooms has become like another day in the classroom for this former school teacher.

Her credits include her own hour long Comedy Now special, appearances on CBC Radio’s hit show The Debaters, and the Winnipeg, Halifax and Just For Laughs Festivals, to name just a few.

A multiple Canadian Comedy Award nominee for Best Female Stand-Up, she performs for audiences ranging from corporations to the most rural of gatherings.

Whether she was the emcee, support, or headliner, she’s delighted them all.

After working her way across Canada, Allyson now has taken her craft to the UK. Using her sassy blend of in-your-face stand-up and hilariously insightful commentary, she now works for major UK promoters and comedy clubs.

It is her genuine and unique sense of humor, combined with excellent performance timing, that has made audiences laugh.

This teacher-come-comic is ready to show international audiences why she is a sought-after fan favourite.

Ian Coppinger
One of Ireland's busiest comedians Ian is a regular on the world comedy circuit having played to packed houses at the Edinburgh, Melbourne, Montreal Just For Laughs, Galway, Electric Picnic, Glastonbury, Glasgow, Dublin, Adelaide and Wellington comedy festivals.

Ian is also one of a handful of acts who has been invited back year after year to perform at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival since 1995; and has performed throughout Europe, the Middle and Far East.

A regular on all the major stages in Ireland and the UK Ian has also appeared as a support act for Ardal O'Hanlon on his UK tour and Pat Shortt on his Irish tour, including seven sell out weeks in Dublins Vicar Street.

Prince Abdi
British Somali comedian Prince Abdi is a versatile and unique story teller.

A feel good comedian, he draws in the audience with great stories and hilarious jokes.

As well as the UK, Prince regularly performs all over the world, including in countries such as the USA, Canada, Turkey, Holland, Northern Ireland and Kenya.

Having written and starred in his own TV sketch show for the BBC, Prince has also appeared on Comedy Central, BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

Tickets are on sale now for just AED 150 General Admission.
