Description
Iftars are a seasonal event held in the month of Ramadan.
Come join us at The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding for an evening with a traditional “break fast” meal at our home in the Bastakiya, and learn about the Islamic tradition of fasting.
Following the meal take a casual walk around the beautiful Bastakiya historical site and visit the Bastikiya Mosque.
As this event is extremely popular, plan to book in advance to reserve a space.
Expected dates for Ramadan 2019 will be from the 5 May until 1 June.
Private Iftars may also be arranged for your institutions.
Advance booking is required.
The gathering for the Iftar Events will commence approximately 30 minutes before the call to prayer every evening.
Programme is daily from 7pm until 9pm except Fridays.
The duration is 2 hours.
Timings:
Daily (except Fridays) from 6.50pm until 10pm.
