Un Fil à La Patte is a comedy in three acts presented for the first time in Paris on January 9, 1894 at the theatre.
The show is a great success and keeps the poster for 129 performances.
The dramatist also draws up a bad portrait of rich people marriage: it is above all a contract, by which man rises socially.
The omnipresence of the term "contract", the absence of feelings between them and the extremely realistic vision, even economist, that the young woman has of the man make the marriage a business with market value.
