WEEKENDER was born through a love of markets.
The inclusive and personal nature of a community of people putting love into what they produce and sharing that with others. It’s also the atmosphere; bubbling and thriving whilst at the same time tranquil.
You can either wander around hunting for rare ingredients, listen as you’re told the story of an old family treasure, taste something you’ve never quite encountered before or sit with a glass of grape and watch the world go by.
That is what we wanted to bring together at the WEEKENDER – a full experience that ignites all the senses.
At the heart of the WEEKENDER is a community of carefully selected traders, each with their own expertise in sustainable and ethical produce; aiming to provide visitors with access to all their weekly essentials.
Working alongside the market is a tailor made food & beverage concept which aims to highlight vendor produce and allow people to explore the possibilities of shopping and eating seasonal foods that are farm fresh to table.
For those who want to further delve into what’s possible, a curated program of talks and interactive sessions with chefs and food experts will be on offer.
There will also be a weekly schedule of children’s events designed to get them away from their devices and out into the fresh air with activities that educate, inform and inspire.
