InClassica International Music Festival continues with Fantastical Violin Dreams at Coca-Cola Arena on Saturday 25 September 2021.
Elegance of musical expression, creativity of invention and magical melodic beauty made Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's incidental music for William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night Dream one of the most beloved works by the composer.
Under the baton of Alexander Shelley, the Russian National Orchestra plays Mendelssohn's master-piece together with the overture to Richard Wagner's opera Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and Jean Sibelius's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, one of the decisive contributions to the development of the genre in the 20th century.
Daniel Lozakovich is the soloist in Sibelius's concerto and, plays the Violin Concerto in B minor by contemporary composer Alexey Shor.
